Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed physical examinations and health assessments for pediatric patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Diagnose and manage common and complex pediatric conditions, utilizing advanced clinical evaluation techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including preventive care, immunizations, and health education tailored to children’s developmental needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate specialized services such as psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, neurology, and other subspecialties as needed.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic and EMR systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform procedures including suturing, basic life support (BLS), airway management, and other minor interventions with precision and safety.
  • Educate families on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness.

Experience

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with active medical licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in pediatrics with a focus on patient care in outpatient or hospital environments.
  • Familiarity with advanced pediatric procedures such as neonatal ventilator management, pediatric neuropsychology assessments, and pediatric critical & intensive care is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with EMR systems like Epic or similar platforms; proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of pediatric subspecialties including neonatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, immunology, rheumatology, and infectious disease care enhances patient outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
